ACHEIVMENTS
I published my first book, Rise Of The Frankfighter, in 2023. I started this book when I was seven as a summer vacation activity.
I published my second book, Dracula's Doom, in 2024, when I was nine. I started writing it over the summer when I was eight.
My third and longest book so far, Night of The New Mummy, was released in 2025, when I was ten.
In 2025, me and my younger brother's podcast, Monster Madness, was one of the eleven finalists in the 2025 NPR Podcast Challenge, out of about 2,000 entries! We also got interviewed about it, and the interview aired on NPR, as did the podcast.
At the end of book one, Jake asks his mom why Frankenstein's Monster went after her. She responds by saying, "Dr. Frankenstein was my great-great uncle." At the time, my seven-year-old mind was assuming all my readers had already read Frankenstein, which was one of my favorite books at the time.Which you might not have. So, basically, Frankenstein's Monster hates Dr. Frankenstein (I can't tell you why, it would kinda spoil the book), and I'm going to assume that he is furious with all of Dr. Frankenstein's family. In the book, Dr. Frankenstein has no children, but his brother might have. Also, read Frankenstein if you haven't. If my seven-year-old self could, so can you.
My books obviously lack depth/lessons/emotion. Calm down, future books will include those.
Books one and two were drawn with pencil on paper, and later re-inked. The covers were, too, but I later colored them digitally.
Book three (and probably all the future Anti-Monster Club books) was done digitally on Procreate.
Most of the more precise-looking hieroglyphics in book three translate to major spoilers for future books!
Monster Madness:
The "research" me and my brother did for our podcast was reading precisely one book, one info packet, and about three Google searches. So, quite limited. Since then, we have attained much more and more valuable info.
The original Monster Madness: Episode One: Bigfoot recording was created in October 2023, originally titled Bigfoot or Bigfeet? We recorded it in our basement in about ten minutes, and the podcast itself was about five. Everything (including the theme song, which we ended up using in the one we submitted to NPR), was done with about two minutes of planning, one info packet, and a LOT of improvising. It was so fun that we proceeded to make four more episodes that week, and sixteen more over the next year or so, which ended up being nineteen episodes, two seasons and two bonus episodes. After that, Monster Madness was basically forgotten, remembered only as a fun, spur-of-the moment project we had done. Until the NPR Student Podcast Challenge cam around in 2025. At the time, my class was learning how to make podcasts- the perfect time to revive Monster Madness! In about two weeks, we wrote a script and, after many recordings, finished up the new Bigfoot Episode. All the sound effects were done by shuffling in leaves in our driveway, stirring ice in a bowl, typing on a keyboard, or me and my brother vocalizing. The theme song, which seems to be a highlight to those who listened to it, is nearly identical to the one me and my brother completely improvised in 2023, including the sound effects.
